How much is the standard probate court fee for estates in Georgia, Dekalb county?

I have a will. I want my home to go to my four adult children. The value of my home is $56,000. Can the probate fees and lawyer fees be avoided? I want to home to pass to my children without cost to them.

With a well written will probate court costs can be minimized. But there will always be a few hundred dollars of costs no matter what.

To bypass probate completely, you have to find a means other than a will to transfer the home. That may get done creatively by certain deeds or by other means. Feel free to contact me with details. Some ways to bypass probate are very inexpensive, so spending a few dollars on a lawyer now will save your family more expense later.
