My father that was ill with cancer recently passed away. My grandfather wants to leave me his house and we need to know if it is better to leave it in a will or go to the register of deeds and put me on the deed of the home. it is all paid off so there is no lean on the property

How to get an esate started for someone who is dead

Husband died last year, his mother (beneficiary to life insurance ) died in 2001. i need an estate to get the life insurance, we have a will, and husband was dieing from cancer, plus he had no money or possessions except some clothes. his income was SSI, so why do i need an estate and to go to court to settle this or do i?
