Does a will have to have witnesses or can it just be notarized?

Answered by Danielle Curtis Esq.   Premium | Littleton, CO | View Lawyer Profile

I live in Colorado and I am preparing a will. Do I have to have two witnesses or can I just have it notarized to be valid? What about a power of attorney for health care decisions - does that have to be witnessed or notarized too?
