Can an adopted child inherit her paternal dads estate if she was adopted but her name was listed as his child?

He had an insurance policy that listed his heirs but they didnt mention her name. He gave her up when she was 4 years old and anoher man adopted her. But she still listed herself as his child in the obiturary. Would she legally have any rights to his estate? Her name was not mentioned in the will at all, it just stated his heirs
