Protecting trust assets from creditors.

Answered by Isaac Shutt | Richardson, TX | View Lawyer Profile

I was told that any gifts to a trust of less than $15,000 would open the trust assets to claims from creditors. Is this true? I am refering to a living irrevocable trust I set up for my handicapped daughter some 13 years ago.
