Receiving cash payments for services while on unemployment?

I have been receiving unemployment benefits from the state for several months now and I'm curious if it was against the law to do small jobs on the side? Specifically babysitting and likely receiving cash payments for my services. Would this be in violation of my unemployment benefits?
