Is there a statute of limitations for suing a lawyer for a malicious and fraudulant eviction? We had given 30 days notice and moved from the apartment complex 2 days prior to the eviction case going to court. The lawyer went ahead with the case and filed it in court even though we were no longer living at the apartment. Since there is malice can we sue for punitive damages?
