Hello. I was placed in a place call Mountain Health & Wellness by my probation officer because he was concerned that I might have mental health issues. I was released 4 days later because I didn't. My question is: While I was in there, my probation officer faxed over a "Consent for release of information". I refused to sign the consent until I spoke to legal counsel(and even wrote that on the consent that was faxed back to him). I found out after the fact that the social worker informed my probation officer via email that my issues appeared to be drug/and or alcohol related before I was even given the opportunity to refuse to sign the form. I have documentation to prove my claim that the social worker violated my privacy. What recourse do I have against Mountain Health & Wellness and the social worker? Thank you for your time.
