LegalJet is an online platform providing consumers greater access legal information for free. Three primary services offered are Q&A (Questions and Answers), Legal Guides, and a Lawyer Directory.

When using this site, it is very important to understand LegalJet does not provide legal advice and no attorney-client relationship will be formed. This site should only be used as a starting point for addressing your legal issues.

2. What are Questions and Answers?

One of our most popular services is the Q&A where any consumer can ask any type of legal question for free. Lawyers compete to answer questions to build up content and exposure for their law practice. You may ask as many legal questions as you want and there is no charge to participate. Keep in mind that Lawyers posting responses to your answers is not considered legal advice and no attorney-client relationship will be formed by using this site.

3. What are Legal Guides?

Legal Guides are informational articles created and published by Lawyers. Lawyers publish guides to help consumers better understand particular legal issues.

4. What is the Lawyer Directory?

The Lawyer directory features local Lawyers who practice in your local area. If you are in need of legal council, you may contact any Lawyer found on this site using the information on their profile page.

5. How are the results of the Lawyer Directory Determined?

Directory results are determined using many different factors (proximity to the user, the number of answers posted, the number of legal guides published, and other relevant factors.) If you are a Lawyer and want to learn more about how our ranking algorithm works, please contact us.

6. Can I contact a Lawyer I found on this site?

Yes, you can reach out and contact any Lawyer on this site. There is no cost.

7. Does this Site Provide Legal Advice?

This site does not provide legal advice. This site provides general information on legal issues which are commonly encountered. LegalJet is not a law firm and the content or information on this site is not a substitute for a Lawyer or law firm. Information posted or made available on or through the site including responses to legal questions, legal guides, and any other content on this site is not intended as legal advice or to create an attorney-client relationship between you and any Lawyer. 8. No Attorney-Client Relationship!

Your use of this site does not create an attorney-client relationship and by using LegalJet, no attorney-client relationship will be created. If you need legal advice for your specific problem, you should consult a license attorney in your area.

9. Do not post Confidential Information!

All information posted to this website (Questions, Answers, Comments, Profiles, etc.) are freely available for everyone to read. Absolutely do not post any confidential or private information on this site as it will be available for others to view. As with all posting on the internet, use caution before submitting your question. If you suspect confidential or private information has been posted to this website, please use the "Abuse" link to notify the site administrator and appropriate action will be taken regarding the content in question.

10. My Question does not appear on the site?

Not all questions immediately post to the website because of several reasons. If our algorithm detects personal or confidential information contained with the submitted content, your question will not post live to the site until it has been reviewed by the administrator. Our algorithm does not catch all uses of personal or confidential information, so please bring to our attention by using the "Abuse" link if you suspect a question contains personal or confidential information. In addition, not all questions are posted right away if we suspect an invalid email address or if we don’t have many active lawyers within your geo location area. Our goal is to have all questions answered by Lawyers, but in some geographic markets we have a backlog of questions and in some cases, Lawyers may not be able to answer your question.

11. Why do I not receive reply notifications?

When your question has been answered by a Lawyer, we will send you an email indicating that someone has posted an answer to your question. If you do not receive an email notification you may want to check your spam filter and also check your contact settings in the My Account section of this website.

12. How do I turn off email notifications?

If you no longer prefer to receive emails from LegalJet, simply login to your account and click the unsubscribe link or you may unsubscribe by clicking on the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any email. Please note, once you unsubscribe, you will not be alerted if a Lawyer provides an additional answer to your question.
