Legal rights in marriage

I have been charged with conspiracy to distibute a controlled substance. Because my wife is to be a witness for the prosecution the judge has ordered me to have no contact with her. I realize that she can claim spousal priviledge which she is going to do but we really feel like the government has overstepped there boundries on this one..Is this a constitutional violation and what are my remedies?
