I was accused of extortion on my father and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.While in prison my father recanted his story and admitted he lied to the police,now I have a felony on my record how do I get it off I am a disabled 46 year old man with a fixed income what can I do?

You definitely need to contact an attorney licensed there in CT for the best answer. In Texas, expunctions are only available to individuals that were either found not guilty or had the charges against them dropped prior to trial. The purpose of the expunction is the get the arrest removed from the record of someone who was not actually convicted of the crime. Again, I am not sure what the laws are in CT, but if you were in Texas an expunction would not be appropriate. I hope this helps.
