How can i get my drivers license has been supended 1997

Iwas arested for not having car insurance and DUI. Idid community service on 88& buffalo for 200hr or sixmo. which one came first.and i went to seaduc an AA CLASS fo 200hr. I served two week end in the county jail 1997.i had a lawler.i went to court and all of this is what i was told to do.but recieve my license i would have pay him more money and i could not payhim after i had paid him 1200.00 already. i was not driving under the influrince. but i did not have insurance.ihad just left work from solocupand i was taking a coworker home in Dolton Il. when i was arested in1996or 97?

Sounds to me more like you might have had your driving privileges revoked and not merely suspended. It's a different process to get reinstated.
