My son was attacked by a store manager does he have any recourse against him or the store?

On saturday my son was filming in a store with a church group the manager agreed to the filming he was being interviewed, as the others were leaving my son was grabbed around the neck by this manager(as he stated he was) and tried to take my sons phone.

Presumably he called the police, made a report, swore out a warrant, and had him arrested.

He had a police report made at this time we do not know his name we are waiting to get a copy of the police report.

We have obtained a police report and have a video of the attack. On the police report the attacker had lied about what had happened in the store. They are having a detective look at the tape.
