My son received a notice to garnish his wages due to defaulted student loans. He panicked and called the agency and made a verbal agreement over the phone, but has not signed any papers. He has decided that he wants to consolidate his student loans with Direct Loans. Is the verbal agreement binding or does he have so many days to cancel?
I believe ITT Tech is a scam. I been doing some research on the school, and I realized that I'm not learning anything new. ECMC issued a letter to my wifes employer to garnish her wadges 15% starting Sept. 1. We have the proof that the student loan was paid and tried to get ECMC on the phone to give use a fax # to send the the reciept. For three weeks now they will not return our calls.How do we stop them from garnishing my wifes check.
