I hired my landscapre company to install pine straw in my yard to enhance the edges ans shrubs. They needed about 80 bails. When they cam to install they used a large mower to transport 2-3 bails at a time running accross the same spot on my expensive sod and as a result damaged the grass down to where it looks like someone drove over it with a car and skid the grass down to the dirt. My grass looks horrible and I have guest coming for a backyard party this week. The landscaper also left my property with dirt skid marks on my freshly pressure washed driveway and didn't even have the courtesy of calling me after the damage was surely noticible. NO my lawn will take weeks or even mnths to recover and there goes the entire season of my lawn looking great for my personal investment, satisfaction, and beauty for our guests. We take pride in our yard and have even wan a contest for the best makeover yard. This is not acceptable for us to go through this agony. I do have photos to submit.

You can sue them for the price of hosing your driveway and replacing the damaged sod, which is probably just a few hundred dollars. So if they refuse to pay that, and you want to spend the filing fees and time, go to Magistrates Court (which is small claims court) and file. Yoiu cannot sue for hurt feelings or annoyance, just the actual repair cost.

Thank you Attorney Ashman. Actually, they offered an apology, agreed to wash the driveway, settle the dispute with $350, and provide services next month free. All of which is more than fair to me. I should be grateful. I told my wife not to get too bent out of shape. (smiles)
