My inexperienced daughter purchased a car with 2500.00 down. The owner Jim stated that he would return her money if she didn't like the car and bought it back in 15 days. The car was returned in 8 days to the owner with no refund, He stated that he spent the money buying other cars. He then put my daughter in another car that failed in 2 weeks because he covered up bad motor problems that unveiled. That car has been returned as well. Still no refund of my daughter money and she doesn't have the car. The process has been over 30 days but less than 40. What can I do to get my daughter 2500.00 back? Please help a concerned parent.

Hi,
Assuming your daughter is perhaps young and not very assertive it might help if you went with her of course.
Is the return policy a written policy or in a written agreement? If so, all you have to do is file a small claims action in court for which you do not need a lawyer and tell the judge what happened. Make sure to bring all your evidence.
I would of course let the dealer know that he ccan expext the summons if he does not return the money of course.
If you would like to discuss further over a free phone consult, feel free to contact me anytime that is convenient.
Kind regards,
Frank
