Will paying on unsecured debt make me inelligible to file for bankruptcy?

Answered by Glen Edward Ashman   Premium | East Point, GA | View Lawyer Profile

I have an initial payment set up of a small amount to get the debt collectors to stop calling me, but I am also looking to file for bankruptcy. Someone told me that making any payments whatsoever could make my filing for bankruptcy automatically denied. Is this true?
