Stephanie Burton, MS, JD
Since Stephanie was eight years old, she wanted to be an attorney. Her inspiration, as a child, was Claire Huxtable, who was a mother and lawyer on the '80's sitcom, "The Cosby Show", played by Phylicia Rashad.

Stephanie's journey is a story of a young girl who followed her childhood dream of becoming a lawyer, in spite of life's obstacles and misgivings. As a single mother, she has earned four degrees: A bachelors of Arts in Political Science as well as a Bachelors of Arts in Criminal Justice & Criminology; A Master's of
Science degree in Criminal Justice; and her long awaited Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Missouri- Kansas City.

She is  admitted to practice law in the State of Missouri and the U.S. District Court of Western Missouri.

Her life is one of many blessings and proof that with God, any and everything is possible.  She has experienced marriage and divorce, living in the projects to buying her own home, as well as working as a Probation and Parole Officer to leaving her job to pursue her law degree.  She is the Owner of Cure for the Common Mom and has her own law practice, The Law Office of Stephanie M. Burton, LLC, also known as SMBLaw.
