John leads the firm’s Family Law and Property Management departments.  

Our firm represents families and children with legal issues, including divorce, separation, custody, child support, alimony, division of property and guardianship.  We bring families together through the firm’s comprehensive adoption practice and assists children with enrollment in school.  Because our firm recognizes that no two cases are the same, attention to our Client’s objectives remains at the forefront of our legal representation.  Our firm represents Family Law and Divorce clients using an affordable, flat fee model.      

John also leads the firm’s comprehensive Property Management practice.  Our firm represents property management companies, homeowners associations and property owners throughout North Carolina.  Our representation of homeowners associations is not limited to collection of delinquent assessments but includes advising Boards with legal issues as they arise, disputes with vendors and amending covenants and by-laws.  We also represent residential and commercial property owners, from single units to large apartment complexes, concerning leases, summary ejectment and collection of delinquent rent.  We provide cost certainty to our Property Management clients through our structured flat fees.        

John was admitted to practice law in the state courts of North Carolina in 2006. He is also admitted to the North Carolina Eastern and Middle District federal courts. His professional memberships include the North Carolina State Bar, the North Carolina Bar Association, the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, the Orange County Family Law Association, the Durham Family Law Association and the Young Lawyers Division of the North Carolina Bar Association.

A native of Buffalo, New York, John graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice and a minor in Law and Jurisprudence from Niagara University in 2002. In college, he was twice honored for excellence in moot court competitions and drafted a comparative analysis of specialized courts for his Honors Thesis. John attended The State University of New York at Buffalo for law school. He graduated in 2005 with a concentration in Civil Litigation and an estimated top 25% class rank. He served as Executive Director of the law school's Phillip C. Jessup International Moot Court Board and was inducted into The Order of Barristers. During law school, John broadened his legal experience by working at a large firm in Buffalo for two years and completing an externship with the office of a United States Senator.

John lives in Cary with his wife, daughter and their Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Henry and Lola.
