Filled out an application at a company and didn't put last employer due to being fired wrongfully. Was hired then fired for not telling them I worked somewhere. Is it legal to suspend an employee via text message?

I contacted HR to file a complaint, the day after contacting HR I got a voice mail from my acting manager asking to set up a meeting to sign paperwork.
